Tesla's Factory Software team operates cameras and backend systems in manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing sites across the world. Dozens of teams rely on these systems, including Production Control, Inventory Control, Supply Chain Automation, Process Engineering, Packaging Engineering, and Material Handling.We are looking for a Sr. Software QA Engineer with a passion for quality who will be responsible for helping develop frameworks and tooling to increase the effectiveness of our internal test systems. You will build test automation with the goal of providing maximum coverage in the most efficient manner. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that the test infrastructure is easily maintainable and can scale to the demands of a dynamic CI/CD environment.

Responsibilities

Design and develop robust automated tests for regression, performance, and stress tests using industry standard toolsSpecify, design, develop, integrate, and maintain test automation frameworks and toolsBuild CI/CD pipelines to execute and report automated testsWrite backend and frontend integration tests as well as end-to-endtests for RESTful APIs and Web UITriage execution failures and address gaps between existing tests and the automation framework to ensure a highly reliable and performant systemProvide technical leadership, driving and performing engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to build and validate end-end functionalityRequirements

Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Electrical Engineering or related field or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical engineering experienceor equivalent experience5+ years Software Testing experienceDemonstrable experience solving difficult QA problems (scalability, reliability, reporting, parallelization, etc)Passionate about troubleshooting failures to determine root causeExperience in designing automation frameworks and developing test automation softwareExperience with one or more of the following: Typescript, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, and/or C#Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, JIRA, STLC, Test Management tool -ALM, Zephyr)Knowledge of relational databases/SQLGood understanding of CI/CD principlesExcellent communication skills, very detail oriented, passionate about improving customer experience & evidence of exceptional abilityCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
