Technical R&D Site Lead
in support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) for a joint initiative chartered with the Services to analyze the hardest military challenges facing the U.S. and our Allies; and to develop experiments to provide future warfighting architectures to address these challenges through:
Change the current warfighting paradigm of reliance on a Service-specific and platform centric force into one that operates as a disaggregated kill web that is able to execute rapidly composable, joint, and all domain kill chains.Exploit both existing and emerging technologies across the Services, to address known capability gaps, opportunities, and threats.Conducting mission-centric, multi-Service and multi-domain analyses, modeling and simulation (M&S), and experimentation to inform research and development (R&D), and program of record recommendations.
A current TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.What you will do...:The successful candidates will:
Recognize, identify, explore, and ensure the development, integration, and funding of new technology and capabilities to maintain U.S. technological superiority.Takes a unified, missions-level view across the entire Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise to analyze joint missions and identify crosscutting technology gaps critical to military readiness.Maintain a focus on the innovative application of technologyWork with a robust network of transition partners within and external to the DoD to mitigate gaps through accelerated prototyping, demonstration, and fielding technologiesTransition relevant programs, processes and technologies from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).Skills you will need...:Required Qualifications:Required: BS in any discipline with management training courses
Preferred: MS in any discipline with management training courses
Clearance: TS/SCI with PolyA minimum of 15 years of demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research studies combining operational expertise with novel technology approaches and sophisticated research techniques to assess military effectiveness and engineering viability.A minimum of 15 years experience in active-duty military service, support Contractor and/or DoD civilian in a warfare specialty at progressively more difficult levels in planning, developing and executing technical projects of a R&D nature, concerned with unique or controversial problems which have an important effect on major DoD programs.A minimum of 15 years demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in technological programs, preferably one that has transitioned to operational use.A minimum of 7 years of experience and background and knowledge of technology program transition efforts is highly desirable.Location: Oahu Hawaii#CJ
