IT Systems Analyst

Position Summary

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for the deployment of business applications and conducting data analysis to support decision-making and optimize business processes.This role requires broad technical knowledge in System Administration, Security Analysis, Network Engineering, and Data Analysis, as well as the ability to provide an exceptional end-user experience.As a member of YHB's IT Service Team, the IT Systems Analyst shares in department-wide responsibilities such as IT Service Desk support for escalated issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Specialization

Conduct regular security and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards; as needed, conduct thorough investigations and implement remediation strategies to prevent future occurrences.Implement robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the performance and reliability of systems; and propose recommendations for technology upgrades and improvements that align with business goals.Review and update security tools and solutions to protect the business operation and address emerging threats.Collect, analyze, and interpret technical and business data to provide insights that inform decision-making.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data analysis projects.Develop data-driven solutions to address business challenges and identify opportunities.Maintain servers, workstations, storage systems, and other related components to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and meet organizational needs.Configure and deploy standard business applications, ensuring they are properly integrated into the existing infrastructure and meet the needs of end users.Maintain network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient network environment.Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations that is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.Identify opportunities for network expansions and upgrades to support the organization's growth and evolving needs.Facilitate system updates, patches, and backups to maintain a secure and relevant network infrastructure.Departmental & Business Support

Perform general duties as assigned, including security, network, and systems administration and engineering service areas.Participate in rotating Service Desk On-Call environment to meet business needs and ensure continuity of service.Assist the implementation IT infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's performance, scalability, and security requirements. Ensure systems are designed to be resilient and adaptable to future needs.Develop and utilize scripts to automate routine administrative tasks, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.Collaborate with development teams to support the deployment of new applications and systems into the existing infrastructure to ensure a smooth implementation.Provide daily operational and systems support to personnel, ensuring that they have the tools and resources needed to perform their work effectively.Education, Experience, & Other Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).3-5 years of experience in IT Systems Engineering or a related field (preferred).Strong understanding of IT and Network Security principles and best practices.Experience with current versions of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with system automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).Commitment and dedication to integrity, teamwork, innovation, and service.Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to life/carry equipment up to 70lbs.Ability to travel to YHB offices, client locations, and/or training.
