JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a highly motivated, talented and driven
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (WINDOWS/LINUX/VMWARE)
to work
ONSITE
supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work, or at play.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facilityDeploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containersPerform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hostsREQUIREMENTS
3-8+ years of experience systems administration experience working with Linux, Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, Hyper-V, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), TCP/IP, VMware, DISA STIGs, Containers, System Backups, and Virtual NetworkingInstall, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipmentMaintain system backups and disaster recovery plansManage user accounts and permissionsDeploy and maintain software applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issuesMaintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administrationProvide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best practicesSecure information systems and applications to current DoD guidanceMaintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reportingParticipate in project planning using Agile methodologyProvide networking support to on-premises infrastructureUnderstanding and familiarity of Linux OS and virtual networkingADDITIONAL REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s)
CompTIA Security+ CEWindows or Linux OS certificationSECURITY CLEARANCE
Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret interim to startEDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
