POSITION SUMMARY

The EDI Analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving EDI-related issues. This role will primarily troubleshoot and maintain existing setups and trading partner relationships including orders, ship notices, invoices, and scheduled jobs that send/receive data to/from ERP systems. This position will also share secondary responsibility for EDI-related helpdesk tickets ranging from onboarding new trading partners to setting up customer cross-reference files.

CORE FUNCTIONS

EDI System Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain EDI systems to support business operations.

Monitor EDI transactions to ensure successful data transfer and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Work with IT teams to resolve any EDI-related technical issues promptly.

Business Analysis:

Gather and document business requirements for EDI-related projects.

Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through EDI solutions.

Develop functional specifications and use cases for new EDI implementations or enhancements.

Work with stakeholders to ensure that EDI processes align with business goals and objectives.

Project Management:

Manage and coordinate EDI projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EDI systems with existing applications.

Provide regular updates to management on the status of EDI projects.

Cross-functional collaboration:

Establish and maintain relationships cross-functional teams, ensuring that EDI transactions are aligned with customer requirements, including testing and validation of EDI transactions.

Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to EDI transactions with cross-functional teams.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that EDI processes comply with industry standards and regulations.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all EDI processes, configurations, and procedures.

Conduct regular audits of EDI systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree with preferred concentration in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent experience required.

2+ years of experience working as an EDI support analyst required.

2+ years of experience working with ERP systems and their integration with EDI required.

2+ years working with X12 documents, experience in the automotive industry a strong plus.

OS system administration experience in Windows a strong plus.

Familiarity with IBM B2B/JSON/NetSuite files.

Experience with NetSuite and/or Great Plains is a strong plus.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Ability to analyze EDI and data related issues.

Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in EDI mapping and translation software.

Knowledge of SQL and database management

Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Travel

Minimal travel is required; 5% or less.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to sedentary work; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
