Vaco is hiring for a

Quality Assurance Engineer

located in Oakland Park, FL

POSITION PURPOSEDesign and implement an effective Quality Management System, establish key metrics and develop a continuous quality improvement program for products and processes. Analyzes and solves process and product quality issues, prepares inspection and testing instructions, manages non-conformances and corrective action, assists in design and product analysis, develops quality control sampling plans, and applies statistical techniques for process or product controls. Prepares formal quality/test reports per company procedures.

DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop and implement a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO-9001:2015.Implement quality metrics and statistical tools targeted to improve product performance.Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Acceptance Test Procedures.Develop Quality Control Plans for specific production lines and/or processes.Develop production process controls that assure product compliance and performance.Perform on-site quality audits and manage supplier corrective actions.Evaluate and manage an effective customer complaint and corrective action system.Develop test plans for new product development project and releases.Models company values and behaviors

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.ASQ certification in Lean Six Sigma, Auditor and/or Engineer a plusMinimum Five (5) years' experience in Quality Assurance.Must be familiar with developing and implementing Quality Management SystemsComputer skills: email and general business software (i.e. MS Office, Mini-Tab, etc.)Demonstrate verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel internationally with valid and up-to-date travel documents.Able to effectively work individually and within a teamAble to take initiative and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changes and assume new responsibilitiesHigh level of Integrity, and ProfessionalismOTHERThe following other characteristics described below are representative of those encountered by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Desired Skills and Experience
