JOB SUMMARY

The Robot/Controls Engineer is responsible for all programming activities, including but not limited to robotics, networking, and process development for automated industrial systems.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Author/Edit PLC, robot and/or various other controls programming for standard products and custom equipment to meet desired resultsWork closely with project manager and customer from quote preparation to project runoffEvaluate feasibility of projects including the completion of time studiesCollaborate with multi-disciplined teams to develop a complete integrated solutionParticipate in design approval and risk assessmentsDevelop application processes to deliver desired resultsParticipate in quality auditsParticipate in installation and start up activitiesPerform simulations & offline programming of automated systemsSupport sales with demos as neededPrepare customer documentation including operations and maintenance manualsRecommend new technologies for solving technical challengesStay current with emerging technologies relating to automated systemsContinue to develop a broad base of engineering skills in support of overall organizational growthEvaluate, select, and develop new applications for emerging technologies; therefore, maintaining Adaptec Solutions' unique value proposition to the automation marketTravel to customer and supplier locations as necessarySupport Service Department with programming, process and troubleshooting needsProvide customer training both at Adaptec Solutions and on-site at customer facilitiesAdhere to company standards and processesPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION

B.S. Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Field or equivalent experience requiredSKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000. The salary range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Adaptec Solutions considers factors including, but not limited to experience and geographic location.
