Title: Guru Help Desk Specialist/Field Support Specialist

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

The Guru Help Desk Specialist performs routine assignments as required for an entry level professional role; typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental electrical theories, basic principles of computer technology and troubleshooting concepts. At this level, a CE must be an expert in all technical aspects of all NCR VOYIX systems and processes and be able to diagnose POS, computer systems and SCOs either remotely or onsite.

Key Responsibilities and Job Responsibilities

Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related disciplines and industry practices.Applies professional judgment and successfully analyzes and applies quantitative data and information.Screens, categorizes, and resolves data integrity issues.Possesses and develops strong project management skills and success.Acts as technical champion for special projects.Serves as technical expert for escalated problems.Provides remote support via ES Call Management.Provides onsite support for equipment.Coordinates/cooperates well with and gathers information from a wide range of sources, which may include internal business units or third-party vendors, to address and resolve work issues including:Documenting issues and resolutions (OKM)Working with engineering to develop a plan of action or direct resolution.May serve as a mentor in one or two product domains or customer specialties.Project/Program Management.Works on multiple projects or a project with global scope. Owns the overall management of the project, coordinating resources across organizations, managing timeline, and meeting deadlines.Delivers quality results.Complies with NCR VOYIX policies, the Company's Shared Values and Code of Conduct, requirements to ensure accurate timekeeping and records of hours worked, and the Company's Fleet policies and requirements, which include, but are not limited to, NCR VOYIX's requirements for safe driving.Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, which will include night and weekend shifts, and to perform overtime work upon management request or need.Some travel within the U.S. may be required.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GEDMust be a local candidate (this position is not eligible for paid relocation)Must be authorized to work in the U.S.US Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.Must have a valid driver's license and driving record that satisfies NCR VOYIX fleet requirements.Must pass the Company's background check requirements, including credit check, criminal, driving record, and drug screen.Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation for a disability or based on religion.Essential functions of this position may include prolonged travel with driving up to approximately 8 hours per day, rotating shifts, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighting up to 50 lbs., and bending, squatting, walking, standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA, N+ Certification, A+ CertificationBachelor's DegreeQualification in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).Proven experience in technical support or related roles.Effective communication and leadership skills.Ability to work collaboratively across teams.Familiarity with NCR Voyix POS and SCO systemsFamiliarity with 3rd Party POS and SCO an advantage
