As a Sr. Field Support Technician, you will perform technical support activities, including aircraft product rework, installation support, and supplier modification changes/upgrades. You will ensure that procedures are followed, records are meticulously maintained, and systems are kept in optimal condition. Under the direction of Field Support Leads, you will respond to both routine and critical situations, maintaining clear communication with third-party product support staff and the Field Support Manager to resolve technical issues and bring attention to design-related problems.

What You Will Do:

* Inspection Support: Conduct incoming inspections for various seating programs.* Installation Assistance: Monitor aircraft during the installation process at the factory, providing technical assistance as needed.* Issue Reporting: Report technical issues and customer concerns to the Field Support Leads and Manager.* Component Adjustment: Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and power tools.* Component Installation: Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft using hand tools, power tools, and/or software.* Data Interpretation: Interpret engineering test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.* System Layout: Lay out the installation of assemblies and systems, following documentation such as drawings, manuals, and wiring diagrams.* Testing & Troubleshooting: Test and troubleshoot aircraft seats, components, and assemblies using the appropriate tools.* Prototype Assembly: Assemble prototypes or models of circuits, instruments, and systems for testing purposes.* Coordination: Coordinate work with the field support lead, technicians, and other aircraft personnel.* Quality Records: Sign off on quality records for installation, troubleshooting, and rework.* 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Qualifications You Must Have:

* Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

* Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform software interrogation via a laptop computer.* Documentation Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, product and component specifications, and service bulletins.* Communication: Ability to effectively communicate technical details, design concepts, analysis results, and work pass downs verbally and in writing.* Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
