The candidate will also have responsibility for data analytics. This is a senior position for candidates comfortable managing a project transitioning to completely new operating models and data architectures.The candidate will have previous experience at an investment bank, exchange or clearing house specifically with a payments, cash management background.The ability to analyze information, gather requirements, document them, build specifications, target operating models, and other skills from the Agile framework, are required.The role will also have ample opportunity for the person to contribute to the optimization of processes, procedures and applications. Previous experience with process improvement and controls is desired.Responsibilities: Prepare technical specifications and documentation for technology solutions to support downstream applications, specially in the Reference Data domain Assess and manage project and application risks and issues Work as a part of a team of analysts and SMEs to identify and remediate functional gaps, driving continuous process improvements Documentation of product artifacts including TOMs, control frameworks, business requirements, user stories and test plans Provide data wrangling / analytics operations on large-scale data extraction and normalization projects Draft report specifications after analyzing and understanding complex database schemas Prepare and communicate through effective presentations and written communicationsRequired Skills and Experience: 10+ total years of technical experience in the financial services industry 5+ years of hands-on experience with Excel, SQL and other data analytics tools 8+ years of business analysis working on specification writing and critical thinking Background in income and expense management (derivative clearing) Skill in data reconciliation, configuration and enhancing performance Familiarity with payment system transformation, especially in automating manual payment processes and implementation of system-driven payment controls Experience in business analysis and working with diverse teams and competing interests for requirements gathering and analyzing technical trade-offs Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels within technical and business organizations Innovation minded, highly capable of thinking systematically, capable of redefining the solutions to overcome the competitors and solve problemsIn the US, the target base salary for this role is $60-$75 per hour. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
