Administrative Assistant Part-Time
CORE Community Organized Relief Effort, Los Angeles, California, United States, 90079
Working under the supervision of the Area Director, assisting with
administrative and operational duties, as well as data collection and
analysis. This position is responsible for supporting all programs
across California and is essential to the programs' success. They will
perform administrative duties for programming on the Climate
Resilience/Disaster Preparedness and Public Health teams, as well as
support with data collection and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Support teams focused on reducing gaps in public health, emergency preparedness and mitigation, and other relevant fieldsSchedule and coordinate staff meeting and other meetingsOrganize and maintain department files, electronic and physicalOrganize and coordinate supplies from our field operations teamsAssist in onboarding new programs staffServe as administrative liaison for California programs with finance, communication, logistics, and HR depts.Maintain internal tracking system for all programs' tech and facilitate the approval of invoicesHelp prepare reports and grants applicationsAssist in making budget modifications and reviewing financial reportsAttend programs' weekly meetings, bi-weekly leadership meetingsServe as Regional Social Media Ambassador and attend monthly social media meetings, and serve as the liaison for California Program with Marketing & CommunicationsImplement social media platforms' content strategies to build community onlineIdentify and interpret social media trendsAssist in design, planning and coordinating social media posts for all programsServe as Regional Ambassador for CVA Community of PracticeProvide administrative support to programs staff as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Essential: High School degree or GEDDesired: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics,Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, orBusiness Administration, or related field.Must have reliable transportation.Experience:
Entry level position with commensurate working experienceSkills and Competencies:
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWork proactivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in MS Office applications (including MS Word,Excel, and SharePoint)Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environmentExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsClose attention to detail and a high level of accuracyCo-manage social media platformsBilingual in Spanish or another language preferable
$26 - $26 an hour
In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
