Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Hemodialysis for an exciting travel assignment. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of hemodialysis experience and prior travel nursing experience, completing at least one 13-week assignment.
Key Responsibilities:Provide care for acute and chronic dialysis patients, both inpatient and outpatient.Inpatient setting: Handle 1-2 or 1-3 patient ratios depending on staffing levels and acuity; 1:1 for bedside care.Outpatient setting: Manage care for 1:8 patients.Collaborate with two dialysis technicians or one dialysis technician and one Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for optimal patient care.Perform Hemodialysis using Fresenius 2008T BlueStar machines and WRO 300/300H Portable Reverse Osmosis Systems (preferred).Float between inpatient and outpatient dialysis units as needed.Complete accurate documentation in EPIC (required).
Required Qualifications:Dialysis Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Hemodialysis experience.Travel Experience: Completion of at least one (1) 13-week travel assignment.License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or compact state.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).Skills: Competency in accessing and troubleshooting fistulas/grafts.
Additional Information:Patient Types: Inpatient (acute and chronic dialysis patients) and outpatient (chronic dialysis patients).Charting System: EPIC (required).Equipment: Fresenius 2008T BlueStar Hemodialysis Machine (preferred), WRO 300/300H Portable Reverse Osmosis System (preferred).Floating: Must be willing to float between both inpatient and outpatient dialysis units.Scrub Color: Navy blue.Parking: Free parking available.Driver’s License (DL): Required – will float between facilities.About Tekaccel, Inc.
