Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Job Details A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of ICU RN's to work a 13 week travel assignment. The nurses will work 12 hour shifts and it is preferred that they have previous travel experience. Job Requirements Must have 2 years ICU experience Prefer experience in similar size or larger ICU and hospital Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years ICU experience Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Dopamine, Epi, Norepi, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, esmolol Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours, 7-7:30 Utilize travel RNs to fill staffing needs after our staff schedule Do our best to group night shifts and meet requests to self schedule Weekend Requirements: Every Other or half of the weekends Holiday Requirements: Yes- if there is a need, do try to work with requests Is there a call or standby requirement: No Unit Specific Information Unit Details: Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3 of beds: SICU (neuro ICU patients are on this floor as well)-16, MICU-16 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, Septic Shock, OD, Resp failure, neuro surgery, open hearts Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:2 Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse on each unit, does not routinely take an assignment Resource nurse available on each unit Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, 1:8 2 CNAs per unit on days, 1-1.5 per unit on nights Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, both RT in ICU 24/7: Yes- staff a minimum of 2 in each ICU RT Equipment: Vents, BiPAP, Cpap Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips: RN monitor and read, Spacelabs Floating Requirements: Will float to other ICUs in the Valley- Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center May be floated outside of ICU to be a 1:1 sitter Scrub Color/Dress Code: No requirement Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 Shifts Additional Details ACLS, BLS, NIHSS LATE OCTOBER STARTS FOR 26 WEEKS This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles Candidates' perm address is required in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review
