TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: PCU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have a license or started the licensing process Certifications: ACLS and BCLS Must-Have: Proficient in cardiac monitoring, management of chest tubes, fresh trachs, feeding tube care, and other listed skills Job Description: - Work on a Surgical PCU unit with almost ICU level acuity, handling ENT, Thoracic, General Surgical, Urology, and Medical overflow. - Expected to work two out of three holidays that fall within the contract duration. - Manage post-operative patients, including epidurals, external BiPAP/CPAP, and total laryngectomy care. - Handle non-titratable cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols, and titration of insulin drips. - Conduct doppler flap checks and care for patients with complex surgical needs. - Float to different levels of care, such as Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, with resources provided if needed. - Staffing ratios typically 1:4. - Flexible to work every other weekend as per the contract; may include consecutive weekends based on operational needs. - May be required to take on charge nurse responsibilities with provided training and resources. - Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours.
