About the job RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights) - 53695 Confident Staff Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Labor & Delivery (L&D) Nurse on the night shift in Sioux City, IA. This is a temporary contract position, with the potential for extension or permanent placement.As an L&D Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This includes monitoring the mother and baby's vital signs, administering medications, assisting with delivery, and providing postpartum care. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.Key Responsibilities:- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery- Monitor and assess the mother and baby's vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques as needed- Assist with delivery and provide support to the mother during the birthing process- Conduct postpartum assessments and provide education on postpartum care to new mothers- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standardsQualifications:- Active RN license in the state of Iowa- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an L&D Nurse- BLS and ACLS certifications- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as neededAt Confident Staff Solutions, we value our employees and strive to create a positive and supportive work environment.
