Certification Details Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS Job Details A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Periop nurse for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience. This RN would float between pre and post-op and would also float to Endo (only for recoveries), as needed. Common diagnosis/types of patients: Pre and Post-surgical patients, general, ortho, spine, gyn, endo, vascular, cysto. Job Requirements Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS. Hold an active AZ license or compact. A dysrhythmia exam is required prior to start (2 max attempts). A pass/fail Sim Lab is required on Day 1 of orientation (study guides provided with first day instructions). Schedule Information Call requirement: 2x12 hour call shifts or 1x24 hour per month, 4x weekday overnight call shifts per month. Shifts: 4x10 hour shifts varied between (0530-2200). Unit Specific Information Unit: Pre/Post, PACU, Endo beds: preop-12, PACU-12, Endo-15 Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS Ratios: 2pt/1RN EMR: Cerner Charge Nurse: Names removed Nurse Aides: Names removed Weekend: Call Requirement 2x12 hour call shifts or 1x24 hour per month, 4x weekday overnight call shifts per month Holidays: Rotation of call requirements Scrub Color: Dark blue Tele: Pre, PACU, Endo all required Vents: PACU Required Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes IV Team: ATU helps out with Lines when needed RT 24/7: yes available Pharmacy 24/7: yes available Floating - Periop locations: Pre-op/PACU/Endo Floor specific orientation: Yes Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Pre and Post-surgical patients, General, ortho, spine, gyn, endo, vascular, cysto Additional Details ACLS, BLS, PALS; Submissions cannot have worked in Arizona for the past 12 months/one year as a permanent staff employee. Does not have a currently active position at an acute care hospital or hospital system in Arizona (meaning even staff PRN). Some call shifts required, usually 6 per month. Standby required weeknights/weekends/holidays.
