Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Valid WA or Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required Must-Have: References covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years Job Description: - Work in the PACU, providing care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery.- On-call duties required: 1 weekday night (17:30-07:00) and one weekend every 6th weekend (Friday 17:30-Monday 07:00).- Weekends are required only for on-call for recovering urgent/emergent surgical cases.- Block scheduling is required.- Patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 1:1.- This facility is a critical access hospital with 25 total staffed beds.- The use of the Epic charting system is required.- Must complete mandatory orientation of 40 hours and non-billable modules pre-start and annually.- Ability to float between sister facilities may be expected.- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, with medical and religious exemptions allowed.- Flu vaccination policy is currently unspecified.
