Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years in labor experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - At least 2 years of labor experience Preferred: - 2+ years of labor experience with history working in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with high birth volumes Job Description: - Work in a Maternal Infant Unit with 24 beds- Collaborate with a team of 71 staff, including labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, a secretary, leadership, and educators- Perform a variety of procedures: vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients- Provide newborn and post-partum care- Primarily use GE fetal monitors and the Meditech EMR system, specifically CPN- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 for labor (most of the time), 5-6:1 for post-partum, and 5-6:1 for nursery- Uphold dress code standards by wearing navy blue scrubs and a pink badge for infant security- Work every third weekend with 12 hours of on-call duties per 4-week schedule
