Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our remote Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent remote position that offers an exceptional opportunity for career advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full gamut of accounting operations, including but not limited to, bookkeeping, payroll, bill pay, expense management, sales tax, tax filings, reporting, audit, and quality control, while training a developing their team.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the client's accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.
2. Supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities, including bookkeeping, payroll, bill pay, and expense management.
3. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Developing and managing financial systems/models and policies.
5. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
6. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
7. Documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
8. Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
9. Liaising with the company's financial management team to improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should will have at least 5 years of accounting experience and 3+ years of leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor in a client services environment
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, and/or other cloud-accounting systems.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
