Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of tax management, including tax compliance, reporting, and planning.
- Developing and implementing strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial efficiency.
- Ensuring accurate and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
- Conducting thorough reviews of tax data, prepare necessary paperwork, and coordinate audits.
- Keeping abreast of current and emerging tax laws and regulations, ensuring our organization remains in compliance at all times.
- Providing expert tax advice to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other departments to identify and address tax-related issues.
- Managing relationships with external auditors and tax consultants.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within the mortgage industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Proven experience working with high net worth mortgages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
