Job Details:

We are currently looking for a dynamic and strategic Permanent Director of Finance to join our team. This is an opportunity to lead and manage the financial health of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, including financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in financial decision-making and will be responsible for establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations of the company, including cash flow management, company audits, balance sheet management, and budget preparation.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s tax planning to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
  • Oversee the property tax and RPIE processes and liaise with the tax commission as needed.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s estate planning, trust, and asset management.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s refinancing, loan, and lender relationships.
  • Lead the financial evaluation of merger and acquisition opportunities.
  • Oversee the financial data and reporting tools such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Restaurant 365, Toast, and Revel.
  • Oversee and manage the company’s appraisal process.
  • Work with senior management to make decisions based on financial research and data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in managing financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in estate planning, trust, and asset management.
  • Experience in dealing with lenders, refinancing, and loans.
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with property tax and RPie.
  • Experience with financial software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Restaurant 365, Toast, and Revel.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
