Job Description- Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation
- Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
