We are currently seeking a dedicated and innovative Solar Construction Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our solar construction projects, including design, planning, and execution. The individual will work closely with various teams to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. The role demands a blend of skills including project management, engineering design, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of the planning, design, and construction of solar power projects.
  2. Prepare and present detailed engineering analysis, design reports, and project updates.
  3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction crew to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Coordinate with utility companies for interconnection, power factor, and voltage regulation.
  5. Perform system modelling and electrical grid load flow analysis.
  6. Design electric utility substation and ensure its efficient operation.
  7. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company and client requirements.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of solar installation projects.
  9. Provide technical support for construction crews and subcontractors.
  10. Implement innovative techniques to improve project efficiency and to reduce project costs.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of electric utility substations.
  3. Proven experience in solar construction, engineering, and project management.
  4. Strong knowledge of solar system design and the latest solar technology.
  5. Excellent understanding of electrical codes and utility requirements.
  6. Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent.
  7. Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to work in a team and to collaborate with various departments.
  11. Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  12. Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED accreditation is a plus.
  13. Ability to travel as needed for project oversight and meetings.
