Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Oversee the entire supply chain process, from production to distribution, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of food products.
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and managing stock levels.
- Coordinate with sales and production teams to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
- Negotiate contracts and deals with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to optimize costs.
- Implement and enforce safety and hygiene regulations in line with industry standards and government regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to supply chain processes.
- Evaluate and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supply chain processes.
- Stay updated with latest supply chain trends and implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Train and mentor staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in prospecting and negotiating with suppliers and transport companies.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant logistics software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and oversee large, diverse teams.
- Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
- Familiarity with safety and hygiene regulations in the food manufacturing industry.
