Job Description
The FinOps Engineer participates in the end-to-end lifecycle for cloud financial management which include spend, forecasting, and optimization. We are looking for a driven individual with demonstrated experience in maturing Cloud FinOps capabilities.
Job Details:
Lead cost automation and strong experience using relevant automation toolsPartner with Cloud Ops team to transform services and applications in the most cost-efficient wayUpdate, maintain, and modify CUDOS, CID, and TAO dashboardsDevelop and deploy infrastructure changes to implement design and strategy decisions targeting cost optimization best practicesDevelop and implement strategies and automation to maximize resource utilization and minimize costsCreate monitoring to help identify and resolve unexpected spending increasesEvaluate and investigate data patterns and anomalies to drive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisionsLeverage / Develop Cost Optimization Pillar to be utilized across the organizationWork with 3rd party cloud optimization vendors on recommendations and implementationsExperience:
4+ years on AWS services/solutions3Proven experience in Cloud Cost ManagementExperience with AWS tagging benefits and limitationsExperience with FinOps, preferred with cloud and scale environmentsExperience with CUDOS, CID, and TAO DashboardsExperience with CURExperience with 3rd party cloud optimization toolsExperience Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK)DevOps experience and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
