IT BUSINESS ANALYST (Healthcare, AI ML)
ALTA IT Services has a direct hire opening for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a Columbia, MD-based healthcare IT company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with expertise in IT systems and technologies. Additionally, experience in the healthcare industry and experience or familiarity with FHIR standards is highly desirable.
This is a remote position with infrequent office and/or customer visits.
Experience with federal healthcare plans and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning (AL ML) is very strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for IT projects, including system functionality, data integration, and process improvementReview, understand, and analyze FHIR standards and frame requirements accordinglyConduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify adherence to standards and efficiency improvementDevelop and document detailed technical specifications, system workflows, and other relevant artifacts to guide software development teams in building IT solutionsParticipate in the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions, including interfaces, APIs, and other integrationsCollaborate with development, testing, QA, and project management, to ensure successful deliveryProvide end-user training documentation for applications; may need to provide end-user support at timesEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements, such as HIPAA and other regulationsParticipate in quality assurance and testing activities to validate system functionality, performance, and qualityDevelop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand their business needsREQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fieldProven experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and best practicesExperience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, and developing technical specifications for IT projectsFamiliarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR, is highly desirableStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and informationExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clientsKnowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, and experience working with development teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workProfessional certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP or CCBA, are a plusProactive, Self-starter, and self-sufficient to work without constant oversight
