The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is seeking a creative and strategic leader for the role of Director of Digital Content and Engagement. This position is responsible for driving the Conference’s storytelling efforts, elevating its digital and social media presence, and producing engaging content that highlights the accomplishments of member institutions, student-athletes, and coaches. The Director will manage content strategy, social media campaigns, and digital production, ensuring that the Conference’s brand remains dynamic and engaging across all platforms.Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Development:

Collaborate with the Conference leadership team and campus leaders to identify and amplify key stories that showcase the successes and unique aspects of the Conference, its member institutions, and student-athletes.Develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar that highlights conference events, member institution achievements, and strategic initiatives.Continuously explore and implement innovative content formats and strategies to enhance engagement and expand the Conference’s digital footprint.Content Creation and Management:

Develop, produce, and publish high-quality content including videos, graphics, photos, podcasts, etc. for the Conference’s website, social media channels, and broadcasts.Maintain consistency in messaging by ensuring all content is accurate, on-brand, and follows established guidelines for style and tone.Design promotional and sponsorship materials (e.g., signage, digital ads, commercial spots) to support internal initiatives and external partnerships.Create marketing collateral for championships to distribute to member institutions, driving event visibility and ticket sales.Brand Promotion and Engagement:

Elevate the MAAC’s brand presence by developing innovative content that reflects the Conference’s values and vision, enhancing visibility across digital channels.Collaborate with member schools to gather highlights, photos, and stories that showcase the accomplishments of student-athletes and coaches.Provide engaging coverage for Conference events and championships, including live content, real-time updates, and post-event highlights.Social Media and Digital Presence:

Manage and grow the conference's social media presence by developing creative and engaging content tailored to each platform (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok).Create and execute social media campaigns that align with the Conference's strategic goals driving audience engagement.Analytics and Reporting:

Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of digital strategies and inform future content planning.Stay informed on social media trends and audience behaviors to maximize engagement across platforms.Provide regular reports to conference leadership on digital metrics, social media trends, and content performance insights.Streaming/Broadcasting:

Coordinate streaming and broadcast schedules (fall/winter/spring), with media rights partners and each school’s video production contact.Oversee the distribution of commercial inventory and broadcast elements to each school’s video production contact and to the Conference’s media rights partners.Assist with coordinating monthly virtual meetings with media rights partners and each school’s video production contact.Coordinate digital and linear championship productions with host institutions and neutral site facilities.Additional Duties:

Maintain an organized archive of video, photo, and graphic assets for easy access and future use.Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Associate Commissioner for External Operations/SMA.Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Associate Commissioner for External Operations/SMA.Benefits:
