Job Summary:Acceleration team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will be an outstanding addition to our technology team. The team is responsible for building and enhancing our platform to enable the world class personalization for Disney Streaming platforms. The right person for this role is passionate about building systems that are optimized for scalability, security and reliability. If you are someone who loves simple, performant solutions to ambitious problems and is looking for a role that has significant growth potential, then this is a great role for you.Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:Design and develop the large-scale, real-time, reliable and globally available platforms.

Build robust and scalable micro-services and data pipelines.

End to end ownership of backend services: Ideate, review design, build, code-review, test, load-test, launch, monitor performance.

Collaborate with other team members (including product owners, TPMs, and other business units) to achieve product and business requirements.

Use a mix of technologies including Java, Scala, Data Lakes, AWS Kinesis, AWS ElasticSearch, AWS RDS, Flink, Spark, Python, Terraform.

Basic Qualifications:5+ years of relevant software engineering experience

Proficiency with at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python

Extensive experience building highly scalable, reliable and maintainable services

The quality-first mindset with a focus on test automation and CI/CD

Great communication, collaboration skills, and a strong teamwork ethic

The ability to jump into a project and contribute immediately to both architecture and implementation

Strive for excellence

Nice to have:Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms using infractructure as a code approach

Proficiency in data streaming technologies such as Spark and Flink

Required Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in LA/Santa Monica is $138,900 - $186,200 and in Seattle/NYC is $145,400 - $195,000, and in Bay Area is $152,100 - $203,900. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
