As a Security Lead, you will advise a well-trained, cohesive team providing 24/7 protection for our premises, co-workers, and guests at our buildings and special events. You will oversee day-to-day security and content protection initiatives and processes.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate daily threat assessments for all Walt Disney Company personnel and premises, discussing findings with staff at roll-call.
- Lead all criminal investigations, liaising with local law enforcement and managing incident reports.
- Assist with departmental invoicing.
- Develop and implement security plans, including coordinating K9 units and outside vendors for movie premieres, private parties, and remote shooting locations.
- Diffuse and de-escalate tense situations with partners.
- Respond swiftly to medical or fire incidents, working with local first responders and redeploying security assets as needed.
- Supervise security for high-profile individuals such as celebrities, politicians, and Disney executives.
- Collaborate with legal departments on ongoing cases.
- Plan and conduct staff training in CPR, First Aid, and threat response.
- Maintain deep knowledge of premises, security systems, and maintenance protocols.
Qualifications for Success
- Over 10 years of experience in corporate security, military, or law enforcement roles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Experience working with city, state, and federal first responders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Physical ability to perform job duties outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexible work schedule with potential overtime.
Preferred Skills
- Bi-lingual, especially Spanish.
- Experience with SAP software.
- Knowledge of local police, fire departments, FBI, and Homeland Security personnel.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or higher.

The hiring range for this position in Washington D.C. is $48,500 to $65,000 annually, based on a 40-hour workweek. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, and other factors. Additional bonuses or incentives may be included.
