Genesis10 is currently seeking a SrData Center Technician - Day with our client in their Hillsboro, OR locationThis is a 12 month + contract and position.

We are looking for a SrData Center Technician to join our team
Responsibilities:
Support development effort in review of system hardware; software and system design to assure system requirements are metParticipate in all system/subsystem hardware and software integration and acceptance testingPart of the team that sets policy; monitors; prioritizes; and develops standards; as well as maintains service levels; for the production environmentDesign, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure for multiple production environmentsProactively suggest alternative solutions and designs; third party tools; etcto solve the problems at handRespond to all system problems on a 24X7 basis and take part in on-call rotationLead and participate in the writing of system; test and test reporting documentation to assure that design and test results meet customer requirementsEnsure mission critical servers are available and operating 24 hours a day and 7 days a weekAdministrator servers and implement hardware and software upgradesRun production jobs as scheduledMonitor all server activity for problems; diagnose and resolve problems according to procedure
Escalate problems to the appropriate levels necessary
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree in technical field or equivalent practical experience6+ years of experience deploying and supporting server and network devices in a 24/7 production data center environment6+ years of experience supporting enterprise-class computer & network systems, and data center infrastructure
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Data center design and/or installationDesigning of structured cabling solutionsExperience with structured cabling, optic types, and cabling standards
Experience with structured cabling installation
Bicsi Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD)Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)Experience working in Unix/Linux environment
Experience with network troubleshootingExperience with project management including organizational, verbal, written, and analytical skillsExperience in large organization and interdependent team dynamics
