**Shift:** 12-hour nights or day/night rotation (traveler preference), weekends as scheduled

**Must-Have:** Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips; experience titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin
**Job Description:**
- Work in an Intermediate Care Unit with a 30-bed capacity, ensuring patient care for both private and semi-private accommodations.- Maintain patient ratios with a goal of 1:4, though occasionally needing to manage 1:5 and rarely 1:6.- Charge nurses are responsible for full patient assignments and collaborate with a Clinical Assistant.- Nurse Aides support with ratios typically of 1:10-12.- Flexible availability for weekend shifts and holiday coverage as required.- Follow hospital protocol for uniform, wearing navy blue scrubs.- Handle tele monitoring using Nihon Kohden equipment, independently reading and interpreting strips, with support from Tele Techs.- Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy for equipment management, particularly with high-flow oxygen, Bipap.- Hospitalists and Intensivists are available in-house 24/7, along with resident support.- Utilize an IV team that handles all starts, supported by a PICC/Midline team.- Pharmacy support available 24/7.- Shifts are 12 hours, running from 7 AM to 7 PM, with self-scheduling options.- Float across units as needed, managing patient care in Telemetry or MedSurg environments with ratios up to 1:6, occasionally 1:7.- Engage in a brief orientation on the first two days with HR and a preceptor.- Manage varied patient diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and care related to cardiac procedures and Tikosyn therapy.
