Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Titration of drips is required. Charge Nurse will oversee but not take patients. Job Details ICU position requires 3 years of experience. Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AZ or compact license required. Travelers may float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert if needed. Flexibility with schedule is a must. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation. COVID vaccine required or declination form with hospital approval. Job Requirements 3 years of current ICU experience. Hold BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (TNCC preferred). Ability to work every other weekend, potentially 3 weekends a month if required. Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a maximum of 2 attempts. Successful completion of Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation. Schedule Information Self-scheduling is allowed; may require balance shifts. 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday, and Dayshift weekends are Saturday - Sunday. May have 1 holiday off per assignment. No additional call/standby shifts required, but may be low censused up to 3 times per contract. Unit Specific Information Nurse: Patient Ratios are 1:2, 1:1. Common diagnoses: Level 1 trauma Center, Falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, trauma patients over age of 15, etc. No monitor techs on unit, RN required to interpret own strip using GE monitors. Full list of common titratable & set rate drips. Hospitalist or Intensivist and RT in ICU 24/7. Able to manage various RT Equipment. Floating to other units as needed. Validation of skills for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices. Minimum requirements and preferences for level of experience. Additional Details UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs prior to acceptance. Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery details provided. Float to telemetry with specified ratios as needed. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Department-specific orientation for 1-2 days.
