This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. Overall Responsibility: The IT Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the IT department and various departments in the organization. This position involves analyzing and documenting business requirements, developing functional specifications, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance our IT systems and processes. The BA will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business operations, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that support our mission and goals. This role is to be hired in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. A valid travel visa is required. Duties: Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and document detailed business requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information. Analysis & Documentation: Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows. Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design and propose technical solutions that address business needs. Ensure solutions align with organizational goals and improve operational efficiency. Project Management: Support project planning and execution by providing insights into business requirements and system capabilities. Assist in creating project timelines, managing risks, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards. Testing & Validation: Develop test plans and scenarios to ensure that solutions meet business requirements. Conduct or coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate issue resolution. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals, progress, and changes. Provide training and support to end-users as needed. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Propose and implement improvements to existing systems and processes to enhance performance and efficiency. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects. Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a must. Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and data analytics is highly desirable. Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects from inception to completion. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies. Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is an advantage. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. Ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities of improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both internal and external partners effectively Able to work independently, but willingness to be a team player in support of team goal
