**Must-Have:** Proficiency in Cerner, not a first-time traveler, and basic EKG interpretation skills.
**Job Description:**
- Work in the ICU and ICU-CV Recovery units.- Perform basic EKG interpretation; Critical care RNs will have additional tests.- Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.- Collaborate with intensivists who are present on the unit from 7 AM to 5 PM and on-call after hours.- Use Cerner as the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.- Utilize pagers linked to the call light system and internal spectra link phones.- Undergo 2 shifts of unit orientation along with orientation to other towers for floating purposes.- Wear navy blue scrubs, with navy, white, or black undershirts.- Work with Spacelabs Monitoring; responsible for own telemetry strips and readings.- Handle ventilators maintained by Respiratory Therapists (RT).- Work alongside a 24/7 pharmacy, with a dedicated pharmacist on the unit part-time Monday through Friday and on weekends.- Care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, ARDS, GI bleed, and more.- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and must be willing to float to any MedSurg/Tele units as needed.- Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, potentially covering full hours instead.
