**Must-Have:** Proficiency in either Orthopedic or Neurological surgical procedures

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 12-suite Operating Room with an additional Endo Suite and Cysto Suite.- Handle 25-30 cases on average per day.- Common procedures include orthopedic and neurological surgeries, such as total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, microdiscectomies, and craniotomies (excluding awake large neuro cases).- No scrubbing required for RNs.- Charge Nurse available for all shifts; manager present until 4pm weekdays.- Work with OR technicians and use the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.- Shifts are 8 hours, with start times of 0645-1515 or 0900-1730; the clinical supervisor creates the schedule.- Weeknight on-call shifts 1-2 times per week from 1515-0645.- Weekend on-call shifts every 3-4 weeks from Friday 1515 to Monday 0645, based on staffing needs.- Holiday call requirements include working holidays in rotation with permanent staff.- Call response time is 15 minutes; sleep room available; housing should be nearby for call duty.- Floating to other specialty cases or to the floor as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands if needed. Refusal to float may result in supplemental time off.- Scrub color/dress code is provided.- Orientation includes 4-5 days of unit-based orientation and 2 buddy call shifts.- Join a team with a family atmosphere in the department.- Radius rule applies to candidates for eligibility.- Initial RTO (requested time off) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO not approved after submission.- Familiarity with a Level 2 trauma care setting is advantageous.- Be first to float during shifts and available to pick up extra hours as needed.- Required to participate in shift calls and rotational weekend calls.
