**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 8, 12-hour Night Shifts (40 hours per week: Two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts from 7 PM-7 AM/11 PM-7 AM)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** Must have an active RN license
**Certifications:** ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
**Must-Have:** Previous EPIC experience for travelers
**Job Description:**
- ER Level IV Trauma Center- 18-bed capacity with potential to increase to 21 beds if needed- Approximately 60 patients per day- Required to have strong IV skills- Navy blue scrubs required, provided by the traveler- Charge Nurse available 24/7- RN's expected to monitor and treat dysrhythmias with support from tele/monitor techs- Responsible for drawing own labs unless challenges arise- High focus on conditions like CHF, COPD, DM, and handling high incidence of heroin overdoses- Non-smoking campus- Involves initiating and titrating all drips except chemotherapy- Pharmacy support not available 24/7; RNs handle pharmacy responsibilities after hours- Weekend and holiday rotation required, aligning with perm staff schedules- No floating; dedicated to the ER department- Orientation provided over three shifts, including hands-on training and system orientation
