IT Project Manager

Kforce s client in the maritime industry is searching for an IT Project Manager in Houston, TX. Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Manager: Project Manager will lead the planning and implementation of Engineering applications new development projects Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables per client s needs Develop full scale project plans using Microsoft Project and Excel Project Manager will work with client to satisfactorily plan and schedule project timelines to guarantee on-time delivery Track project deliverables and communicate with project/enhancement sponsors to deliver on-time and within scope Maintains complete control of project schedules, risk issues while facilitating timely discussions and decisions to identify project risks Develop scope of work statements, work breakdown structures, resource allocation models and implementation action plans Report project status to stakeholders and management. Generate periodical project status reports. As a Project Manager, you will lead meetings between Stakeholders, Senior Managers and Executives Collaborate with Technical Leads, Developers, Business Users on system requirements gathering, system analysis, design and implementation of new features and systems Apply SDLC procedures and practices for all activities and deliverables Liaison with consultants to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner Required Skills : Project Manager will need a degree in Engineering and/or Computer Information Systems 7 years of Project Management experience 7 years of proven experience as a Project Manager 5 years of experience with Engineering, CAD, CAE applications highly preferred Experience with project management tools and methodologies Experience with Agile software development practices Demonstrate accountability for meeting milestones and delivery of a quality product Proficiency in developing project plan and managing integrated project schedule using MS Project or equivalent tools Advanced level experience/competency in managing and administering the functional aspects of engineering applications Strong analytical skills Must have excellent interpersonal, written, communication and presentation skills Strong team facilitation, time management and organizational skills Excellent conflict resolution skills Experiences as a Scrum Master, highly desired Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : Rank :A2 Requested Date :2023-02-22
