Network Technician - Security Clearance Required

We are seeking a Network Technician with an active TS/SCI with Poly to join our team. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other staff members, both internally and externally. Responsibilities: Installation of network components for classroom and virtual learning infrastructure Documentation of network issues and evaluation Hardware/software installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair Maintaining system documentation and providing security support Technical support for complex network system installation processes Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly Minimum Education/Minimum Years of Experience: Computer Science oriented Associate degree or higher OR Two (2) years of networking-related experience Basic knowledge of packet flow and Cisco certified (CCNET) or Network certification preferred In depth knowledge of distributed networking, clustering, shared storage, and linked clones Network Technician must be able to demonstrate the following capabilities: Experience with vCenter, ESXi, and networking technologies Understanding of TCP/IP networking, packet capture and network analysis tools Knowledge of network security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities Experience with monitoring solutions and datacenter operations Preferred: Experience with VMware PowerCLI or Pyvmomi Working knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms Experience with hardening systems and implementing STIG guidance Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly Effective communication, writing, and documentation skills VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is desired
