(CBSSI) is a privately owned shared services company that provides information technology services for eight affiliated Minnesota community banks and their branch locations. JOB SUMMARY The Infrastructure Engineer has a role in all aspects of infrastructure with a focus on networking, including implementing and maintaining the company's Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) composed of about 50 Cisco switches and another 50 Meraki APs in locations across Minnesota. Network responsibilities include configuring and managing network hardware and software, collaborating with vendors to ensure network connectivity/performance and manage their services, overseeing contracted managed service providers, and implementing network management tools to monitor performance and automate tasks. Proactive troubleshooting and continuous learning are crucial to the success of this role. This position implements or manages technologies including Palo Alto firewall/VPN and SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, and DNA as well as SolarWinds Orion. In addition to networking this position will support other aspects of infrastructure including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Citrix VDI, and VMware vSphere. The Infrastructure Engineer works in a small team of 4 infrastructure staff responsible for all of the organization's infrastructure including network, server, storage, UCaaS, and beyond. This represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced network-centered individual to take a role that in addition to networking touches many other aspects of infrastructure in a supportive environment. A successful Infrastructure Engineer in this role must be a self-starter and team player in equal measure. It's key that this individual be independently driven toward continuous improvement and learning. This position is hybrid working on-site in Bloomington at least 2 days a week and at other locations as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Design, Planning, and Implementation: Participate in infrastructure design and expansion projects including making informed and fully reasoned recommendations Analyze infrastructure needs and recommend solutions Deploy new technology, leading implementation and coordinating with other IT staff Create and maintain documentation (diagrams, policies) Create, document, and test disaster recovery procedures Maintenance Analyzes, troubleshoots, isolates, and corrects infrastructure and security problems on a 24x7x365 basis either remotely and/or on-site. Configure and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems/solutions Manage wireless networks and access points. Maintain non-network infrastructure including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Citrix VDI and VMware vSphere Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using scripting languages Implement automation tools and scripts Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures Configure and manage firewalls and VPNs Stay informed of evolving network security threats and vulnerabilities Remediate security audits and penetration testing results Additional Responsibilities: Maintain UPS and PDUs on location Participate in the change approval process including creating and executing change requests Stay up-to-date on emerging network technologies and trends JOB REQUIREMENTS Education- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. A 2- year degree and equivalent experience is also acceptable. Experience- Required: 6-8 years of experience either directly related to network and or server administration with meaningful network component.
