Storage and Backup Engineer

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Storage And Backup Engineer - On Prem And Cloud to become an integral part of our development team You will design strategies for database systems as well as set standards for operations, programming and security. Responsibilities: Refine system performance and functionality Provide architecture guidance and support to technical leads Research new technologies and develop proofs of concept Manage and maintain geo-redundant backup solutions for datacenter and cloud environments utilizing Commvault, AWS backup, and AZURE backup Manage and maintain datacenter HPE GreenLake solutions including Synergy, OneView, Primera SAN, Brocade switches, VMware ESXi, and Ezmeral Data Fabric clusters (mapr) on RHEL Familiar with custom cloud solutions to include AZURE AVS, AZURE storage, AZURE storage sync, AZURE NetApp, and AWS organization backup policies. Familiar with Morpheus or other hybrid cloud management solutions for automation Familiar with PowerShell, Azure command-line interface (Azure CLI), and AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) for routine automation tasks Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments and cloud services Maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for backups and storage solutions.
