Job Description:
Pay Range $74hr - $78hr
Responsibilities:
Manage and assessthe storage and backup solutions incurrent productionbased on applications requirements, current capacity and growth trends.Provide technical services for customers in a highly complex storage and backup environments.Collaborate on technical designs and specifications for projects andStorageinitiatives.Deliver engineering specifications and assist with functional specifications.Provide technical and business analytical leadership for specific storage and backup needs or objectives to meet business requirements.Optimize and facilitate effective solutions to meet thestorageneeds.Develop recommendations in support of project objectives.Develop logical and physical technical artifacts for review.nalyze complex hardware and software issues associated with complex storage platforms including EMC, NetApp, and Cloud storage models.Manage, configure and maintain multi-PB multi-tiered environment.Provide performance reports and capacities and make allocation recommendations based on trends/metrics.Participate in capacity planning and assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery exercises.Education:
Bachelor of Science degree.Experience:
Five years of storage and backup engineering experience.Previous IT experience in government is preferred.Skills:
bility to work independently to resolve complex problems.Previous experience with performing risks assessments.Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud storage models and their implementations and Storage replications.Knowledge on Microsoft AD/DNS/Client/File servers.Knowledgeof VMware Components ESXi, VCenter, vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations Management, VMware Site Recovery Manager,ZetroCloud, NetApp, Dell Storage, and Brocade Fibre Channel Networking in private and public cloud.Knowledge of Client Infrastructure and backup Client file systems.Knowledge of Enterprise data protection and disaster recover solution.Knowledge of Enterprise application data management requirements.Knowledge ofVDI/Golden image and publishing applications.Knowledge of SAN / NAS / FC Switches.
