SUMMARY: Responsible for providing desktop and network administration and support to all users within PCE. This includes but is not limited to providing remote desktop and network support, providing on-site desktop and network support, performing on-site moves, adds, changes, performing desktop and network administration and monitoring (proactive), and assisting in on-site project implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products Proactively administers and monitors PCE infrastructure in an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the network. Plan and implements moves, adds, and change requests Propose and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of the system. Monitor, analyze, and modify system usage and performance is operating at its peak. Troubleshoot network/server issues and problems reported by users. Make recommendations for future upgrades. Maintain network and system security. Analyze and isolate issues. Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users. Identify user needs. Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security. Assist in recommending, scheduling, and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades and repairs. Maintain network servers such as file servers, domain controllers, and other physical and virtual servers within the network. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, tablets, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches. Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth Research, evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products REQUIREMENTS: Extensive experience providing end-user support via phones and remote management tools Strong knowledge of implementing and utilizing remote network management and monitoring tools. Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting server operating systems: Windows 2008R2/2012 Experience configuring, implementing and supporting desktop operating systems: Windows XP/7/8/10 and Mac Experience configuring, implementing and supporting MS Office and other applications: Office 2007/2010/2016, outlook/Exchange (server), anti-virus, backups, and other various applications. Experience configuring, implementing and supporting various back-up solutions at the enterprise level. Ability to analyze data to offer recommendations. Exceptional customer service skills. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or related field or combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 2-4 years within an IT organization in a Helpdesk and/or customer facing environment Microsoft MCP/MCSE Certification preferred.
