This role involves overseeing design work, managing team performance, ensuring code quality, and driving successful releases.Responsibilities:- Guide the team in architectural design and technical decision-making.- Mentor and support senior developers to foster their growth.- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within the team.- Manage code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.- Oversee the release process, ensuring features are thoroughly tested and ready for production.- Align team efforts with strategic goals and performance metrics.- Maintain system documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing.- Identify and implement process improvements within the SDLC.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with leadership roles.- Strong technical expertise in backend development, especially with Node.JS and Typescript.- Strong database- Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams.- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.- Experience managing software releases and code quality processes.Skills:- Proficiency in backend technologies: Node.js, TypeScript.- Frontend skills: React, CSS, Webpack.- Cloud infrastructure management with Azure services.- Containerization using Docker.- Automated testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Cypress.- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using GitHub Actions.- Database management: Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL.- Monitoring and performance tools: App Insights, Datadog.Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledge of performance metrics and team performance tracking.- Ability to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.To view more details about what is like to work at OneRail, or to view a full list of career opportunities, please visit https://www.onerail.com/careers/
