Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,092 per week

Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS Job Details Specialty: Med Surg 3CC RN 6020 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1930, 1900-0730 Weekend Requirement: every other Nurse:Patient Ratios - Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedure, abdominal surgery (lap appy, bowel resection), bariatrics, medical overflow Prefer to have surgical experience, post-op, early ambulation experience, ok with first time travelers Job Requirements BLS Certification Surgical experience, post op, early ambulation experience preferred No need for RNs to titrate drips Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Occasional heparin drip, PCA pump, TPN Schedule Information Shifts: 0700-1930, 1900-0730 Manager to make schedule - If D/N rotate - 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly Consider block scheduling if unit needs are met Unit Specific Information of Beds: 30 Common diagnoses/Types of patients Charge Nurse present on each shift, nights occasionally to take a low acuity assignment Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? Floating Requirements: Float to medical and telemetry Additional Details RNs not required to read their own strips Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: yes- 1:12, 1 tech RT Equipment: nasal cannula, RT does treatments Close knit and good culture on the unit Bedside shift report is an expectation Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
