Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $1,924 per week

Certification Details BLS certification required Job Details 13-week contract for Medsurg/Onc RN position Great unit culture and teamwork, family oriented unit, travelers should feel supported Job Requirements Must have experience with trach and BiPAP preferred, not required Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Must be experienced in Lasix, Heparin preferred Schedule Information Shifts are 0700-1930 and 1900-0730 Block scheduling may be considered if unit needs are met Every other weekend required Holiday requirement as needed No call or standby requirement Unit Specific Information 31-bed unit, with nurse to patient ratios varying by shift Common diagnoses/types of patients include adults and geriatrics, strokes (stroke unit), and other medical conditions Non-oncology staff may administer chemotherapy as needed Tele/monitor techs available; RNs not required to read and interpret strips RT Equipment includes BiPAP, RNs required to troubleshoot Self-scheduling and block scheduling are potentials depending on unit needs Additional Details BLS certification required Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit with a ratio of 1:8 Must float to other MedSurg units and ER holds occasionally No specific scrub color required 1-2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
