Number of Beds: 31.Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Stroke, HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A fib non RVR, Chest pain, MI after ICU, AMS/behavioral, some Tele, surgical overflow.RT Equipment: RNs required to troubleshoot BiPAP stable, trachs established with blow by oxygen.Tele/monitor techs available on the unit.Floating Requirements: will float to other MedSurg units, ER holds occasionally, no mom baby.Orientation: 1-2 shifts on the floor.Additional Details
Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit.Nurse:Patient Ratios - Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6.Charge Nurse on each shift.Nurses are not required to read and interpret strips; they use tele packs with monitor tech for strips.Great unit culture and teamwork.Family oriented unit.Travelers to feel supported.
