JOB TITLE: SEO/SEM Specialist Department: Marketing Reports to: Director of Digital Marketing FLSA Status: Non-exempt Date Prepared: 9/16/2024 SUMMARY Let's build something together We are seeking a highly skilled, data-driven SEO/SEM Specialist to help develop the digital marketing platform we are building for our plastic surgery and aesthetic centers of excellence. We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital marketing, is an independent thinker, and a super strategist. Responsibilities center on driving patient acquisition - specifically lead creation - through organic traffic, search engine marketing (SEM) and other paid campaigns. Your superb data analysis skills will inform our proactive approach. You'll work closely with Ascend leadership and consultants as an integral member of the marketing team by providing insights gleaned from our enterprise website platform, along with other marketing metrics, and recommending corrective actions. You will be managing all SEO/SEM activities, including UTM-campaign tracking, link-building, keyword strategy to increase ranking and traffic. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Bing, and other search engines to maximize ROI. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) Data analysis of website and campaign performance, user behavior Development and execution of SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversion rates. Management of SEM campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) by optimizing bids, ad copy, landing pages, and keyword targeting to ensure cost-effective ad performance and ROI. Optimize local SEO by ensuring that the practice is correctly listed and updated in online directories (Google My Business, Yelp, etc.). Work with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content across blogs, landing pages, and other assets. Regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, rankings, lead generation, and conversions, and make recommendations for improvements Manage and optimize social media ad campaigns to complement SEO/SEM efforts. Stay updated on industry trends, search algorithm changes, and SEO/SEM best practices to maintain competitive performance QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 3-5 years of experience in SEO and SEM, along with other digital marketing channels Planning and managing multiple SEM/SEO campaigns for multiple websites Strong analytical skills Strong knowledge of keyword research, link building, and SEO best practices Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data and make recommendations Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Experience with patient privacy and healthcare preferred SKILLS/ABILITIES UTM parameters; code creation and campaign tracking; QR codes A/B testing Dashboard creation Google Analytics, Key Word Planner Marketing automation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis UX/UI insights tools, ex: HotJar SEMRush Project management tools, SmartSheets PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear.
