Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS, CRRN, PCCN preferred
Must-Have: Experience with titrating drips (e.g., nitroglycerin, heparin, cardizem, nicardipine, amiodarone, insulin, dopamine, esmolol, labetolol, milrinone, argatroban, aggrostat)
Job Description:- Provide care for cardiac patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)- Manage patients with common diagnoses such as TAVR, post-cath care, temporary pacemakers, thoracic procedures, and post-operative cardiac surgery- Titrate various medications as required- Work collaboratively with charge nurses and other healthcare professionals- Required to float within designated areas as needed, maintaining a flexible and team-oriented approach- Interpret telemetry strips with an offsite central monitoring system- Participate in a structured orientation program including Epic class and unit orientation- Self-schedule shifts for six weeks at a time, with initial schedule filling existing gaps- Ensure weekend and holiday shifts are covered as per the unit's requirements- Comply with dress code requiring professional-colored scrubs- Prior experience with Epic is preferred; option available to test out if experienced within the last year
