My client, a household name in the residential solar industry are growing out their capital markets team. The group specialize in project finance and tax equity financing and are looking for a Senior Associate to support with transaction management and deal structuring for projects throughout the US.Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Associate in Project Finance to join the dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in structuring, financing, and executing solar projects, contributing from inception to completion.
This candidate needs to already have tax equity experience for renewable transactions in the US.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling:Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate project economics, cash flows, and investment returns.
Deal Structuring:Analyze and structure financing solutions, including debt and equity financing, to optimize project capital stacks.
Project Evaluation:Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, including financial, legal, and technical assessments.
Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., development, engineering, legal) and external stakeholders (e.g., investors, lenders) to facilitate project financing.
Market Analysis:Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes to inform financing strategies.
Documentation:Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentorship:Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
4-6 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or a related field, preferably within renewable energy.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Solid understanding of project finance structures and tax equity financing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
