Quoting Manager

Nesco Resource is working with their client to identify a highly motivated Quoting Manager to lead our quoting and cost estimation efforts. This role will play a critical part in driving our pricing strategies and ensuring our estimates align with the business's goals for competitiveness, profitability, and growth. The Quoting Manager will oversee all quoting activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce accurate and timely quotes that reflect market conditions and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire quoting and cost estimation process for manufacturing projects.
- Develop and refine pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, production) to ensure quotes are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project goals.
- Manage, coach, and mentor direct report, ensuring effective teamwork and continuous improvement in the quoting process.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date quoting processes.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring their needs and timelines are met with accurate quotes.
- Lead initiatives to streamline quoting systems and introduce efficiencies in the process.
- Provide periodic reporting to senior leadership on quoting performance and profitability metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in quoting, cost estimation, or related fields within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to develop and execute pricing strategies.
- Experience managing direct reports, with a focus on mentoring and professional development.
- Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of cost structures, market conditions, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in precision manufacturing or related industries.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or quoting software (.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
